How to Use ColorFun: A Quick Guide to the Coloring Tools
ColorFun runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install. This guide explains each tool and gives tips for neat results on a phone, tablet or computer.
Choose a page
Use the category row to browse Animals, Cartoon, Mandala, Space and more, or type a word in the search box. Tap a card and the page opens in the coloring area.
Pick a color
Select any color from the palette. Need a shade that is not there? The "Any color" picker lets you choose exactly the one you want.
The tools
- Fill: tap inside a shape to fill it with the chosen color. It works best on closed areas, and it stops at the black outlines.
- Brush: draw freely, for example to add spots, stripes or stars. The slider changes the brush size.
- Eraser: removes color you painted without touching the outlines.
- Undo and Redo: step back or forward if you change your mind.
- Clear: starts the page again with no colors.
Save or print
Press Download to save your picture as an image, or Print to send it to your printer. Printing a blank page is a great way to color with real crayons too.
Tips for better pictures
- Fill large areas first, then add small details with the brush.
- On a phone, turn the device sideways for a bigger canvas.
- Use lighter shades first and darker ones for shadows.
- Use "Add picture" to color your own line drawing.
